MY FAVORITE PLACES TO SHOP AFFORDABLE SPRING HOME DECOR
I love to get my home decor from 4 main sources: Target, H&M, Amazon, and thrifting! My house is pretty much a blank canvas right now. My bedroom is mostly decorated with things from Target, Camila’s room is a mix of Target, H&M, and thrifted items, and the rest of my house is pretty bare. We had to survive the puppy and baby stage, so decorating just didn’t happen for us. I’m just now coming around to actually buying the items I curate for my home instead of just making mood boards and never acting on them.
However, I have done TONS of research and designing for myself and others, and I can tell you that the four places I mentioned are the holy grails for unique, affordable decor. Emphasis on affordable. I can usually find a dupe for a designer piece on amazon, or a similar style at Target for way less, which I really appreciate in this season of my life. Not only am I on a strict budget, I’m not trying to spend thousands on pieces my animals and kids will definitely destroy in a few short months.
TARGET SPRING HOME DECOR FAVORITES
Target is the holy grail for kids’ bedroom decor, bedding, and accent/shelf decor. Right now I’m obsessed with their spring planters (read about all of my favorite cute, affordable planters here) and their neutral colored accent items for shelf decor. I love items that can serve a purpose, like storage boxes, fruit bowls, book ends, etc. and Target has been coming out with some cute, modern, and transitional decor items in that department.
All of our bedding is from Target – the whole family. It’s so comfy and affordable. If you decide to invest in the more expensive pieces, like my white linen comforter from Casaluna, it’s also a decision you won’t regret. The quality is amazing and it’s durable enough to last through spills and muddy shoe prints from little kids who don’t quite know how to take their shoes off before running to my room. I’ve machine washed mine twice since we got it and it’s in the same condition as it was on day one. Definitely look into washing instructions for your certain type of washer, but you should be okay.
I also love the Hearth and Hand collection, and anything Studio McGee. Both of those lines at Target are gorgeous and blend together so well. I don’t like to stick with one collection from one store because that makes my home look like a page out of a Target catalogue. Mixing and matching items from different collections and retailers really gives a more designed, thought-out look that’s unique to you and your style. My toy shelf is Hearth and Hand, and I am loving it. When I no longer need this much toy storage in my living room I’ll transition the table to an entry table without having to buy another furniture piece.

H&M SPRING FAVORITES
I don’t have much from H&M yet, but they have the dreamiest boho items that I’m eyeing for the spring. I have a small rattan shelf in Camila’s room for her small board books, and I’m planning a bathroom refresh with some of their new bathroom decor items. I’ve made a mood board of what I’m planning and what I’m loving from the current H&M spring collection. Check it out below!
I have found that H&M is the best when it comes to kids’ rooms and toy storage that is both cute and functional. Their items fit into the modern-boho aesthetic that I love.
AMAZON SPRING FAVORITES
Amazon never. lets me down. I have lists and lists of items I have saved that resemble more expensive designer items. I love to find larger furniture items here and compare them to ones I’m considering from other retailers. It can be a lot to look through sometimes since Amazon is such a huge market place, but I have you covered! On my Amazon storefront, I have collections and lists curated for you to look through that house the best of the best, my favorites, and items that go well together.
THINGS I HAVE THRIFTED
Some of the best deals I’ve gotten are on things I’ve thrifted or bought on Facebook marketplace. Don’t underestimate your local Facebook yard sale pages, or just going to an in-person yard sale! My favorite things I’ve thrifted are my shelf in my dining room and the side table in my bedroom. Both were bought at local yard sales, and both were VERY affordable. I think the side table was about $5. Unheard of! I haven’t thrifted smaller decor items lately, but that’s only because I’ve found what I want/need at the previously mentioned retailers and don’t want to bring in an overwhelming amount of items into my house all at once. Thrifting is always a great option though, especially if you are on a tight budget!
